"Feeling of magic and warmth." "Clear, Clean, and Simple . . . Children can relate."

"A feel similar to Beatrix Potter's books" (of Peter Rabbit Fame).

"Do it! Run with it! Publish it!"  Judges' comments from American Night Writers Association contest.

Capable, Independent, and a little confused, the always polite Miss Mousie believes she has been invited to live in Mrs. McGreggor's closet for the winter. She is thrilled when Mrs. McGreggor begins to serve her supper every night, personally.

Her unpleasant discovery about the little wooden platter with the odd metal serving plate teaches Miss Mousie that she is in control of her own comfort and destiny. Three beastly cats stand between Miss Mousie and a safe home for the winter.
